Stress Coaches & Consultants | Authors | 25+ Years Experience
Dr. Calista Ward and Vern Ward (B.A., M.A.) are Registered Clinical Counsellors (so they can bill 25+ insurance agencies directly on your behalf for their services) and have spent over twenty-five years working directly with clients to help them navigate their way through stressful times — and come out the other side with real tools, not just coping mechanisms.
Their approach is grounded in one core belief: stress is beatable. Not just manageable — beatable. Rather than focusing on symptom relief, they guide clients through a proven three-part pathway: identifying your stress, understanding your stress, and reducing your stress.
Together they co-authored The Simple Stress Solution: Your Key to Be Free, and built The Stress Center to bring that same proven framework to men across Canada through one-on-one coaching, an online course, and a practical workbook.
The Approach
This isn't therapy. It's strategy. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Identify First
You can't fix what you can't see. Every engagement starts with getting clear on exactly what's driving your stress — not guessing, not assuming.
Understand the Root
Symptoms are just the surface. The work goes deeper — understanding why stress shows up the way it does in your life, your body, and your relationships.
Reduce With Proven Tools
Evidence-based strategies that fit real life. No fluff, no journaling prompts that go nowhere — just tools that work and results you can measure.
Built for Men
Men experience and respond to stress differently. The Stress Center's programs are designed with that in mind — direct, practical, and results-focused.
